AH Bonus deals week 19 – green beans, spinach, white asparagus

AH Bonus Check – 4 May to 10 May

A better-than-average week. Strong vegetable deals (green beans, spinach, white asparagus), organic blueberries at a fair price, and two genuinely good meat offers — provided you order in time.

This check is based on what I see in the AH app / online order page. The same Bonus offers apply in-store, but the out-of-stock notes below refer to online/delivery stock.

🥩 AH Vakslager Angus diamanthaas (top-blade steak) – buy one, get one free

Diamanthaas at €7.99 with the 2nd free works out to roughly €4 a pack. For Angus beef, that is an excellent price. Diamanthaas (top-blade) is a tender shoulder cut — sear it hot and fast, let it rest, slice thin. Eat it straight from the pan or on a salad.

Watch out: this is exactly the kind of deal that sells out fast. When I lined up an online basket for the Mon 4 May delivery slot around 12:55pm on Friday, the Vakslager Angus was already temporarily out of stock:

The product is frozen, so it’s perfect for stocking up — and I’m not optimistic the online stock will be replenished before the bonus week ends. In-store may do better, but you’d still need to be early.

👉 Pro tip: if you actually want to secure this deal, open the AH app on Friday morning (next week’s Bonus is already visible) and drop it straight into your basket for an early-in-the-week delivery slot. Prefer the shop? Go Monday morning as soon as it opens — before the stock-up shoppers clear it out.

Our verdict: 🔥 grab it if you can secure one in time.

🥩 AH Greenfields rib runderlappen – €1.79 per 100g

Same screenshot also shows AH Greenfields rib runderlappen (rib stewing beef) at €1.79 per 100g — down from €15.49 a pack (~755g) to €13.52, about 13% off. Greenfields is AH’s premium meat tier; you don’t often see Greenfields stewing cuts on Bonus.

The percentage isn’t dramatic, but for Greenfields specifically this is a fair window to put a better-quality stew pack in the cart.

Our verdict: 🔥 the quiet deal of the week for stew lovers.

🌿 Vegetables: green beans 30%, spinach and white asparagus

AH Witte asperges 40% off, snijbonen 30% off, spinazie voor 1.49

The produce aisle is doing real work this week:

  • AH Witte asperges (white asparagus) 500g – 40% off, €4.79 (was €7.99). Early May is genuinely asparagus season, and this is a fair price for half a kilo.
  • AH Snijbonen (sliced runner beans) 400g – 30% off, €1.67 (was €2.39). Quick to cook, easy to freeze.
  • AH Spinazie (spinach) 450g – €1.49 (was €2.19). Great for pasta, curry, or just a big pan with garlic.
  • AH Puntpaprika mix (pointed peppers) 4 pcs – €2.49 (was €3.49). Solid side deal.

Our verdict: 🔥 hard to ignore. The asparagus price is good for May, and beans + spinach together cover two easy weeknight dinners under €4.

🫐 Organic blueberries 25% off, AH Frambozen €3.49

AH Biologische blauwe bessen 25% off and AH Frambozen 225g voor 3.49

  • AH Biologische blauwe bessen (organic blueberries) – 25% off, €3.52 (was €4.69). For organic berries this is genuinely a good price — usually you pay a hefty premium over the regular ones.
  • AH Frambozen (raspberries) 225g – €3.49 (was €4.49). Not spectacular, but reasonable if you wanted raspberries anyway.

If you don’t usually buy organic berries: this week is a fair excuse to do it. The price gap is small, the pesticide-residue gap can be bigger.

Our verdict: 🔥 for the organic blueberries. 🤔 for the raspberries — nice to have, no fireworks.

Also worth noting this week

  • 🤔 All AH 2- or 3-person sliced verspakketten (cook-from-fresh meal kits) – €1 off (from Monday). Handy for a quick weekday meal, but do the math — the base product isn’t cheap, so €1 off only makes it reasonable.
  • 🤔 All AH Salades 175g – 2 for €3.75. Fine if you’re a salad person; pricey per gram on its own.
  • 🤔 All AH Verse sappen en smoothies (fresh juices and smoothies) 250ml – 3 for €5.00. Fine if you already drink them; no reason to start now.
  • 🤔 AH Saladeverrijkers (salad toppings) – 3 for €6.00. Cute little add-on, not a stock-up deal.
